One of the known surviving HSV Jackaroo's has come onto the market, this time build number 030 of the original 79 production vehicles.
Build #030 is located in Mount Barker, South Australia, and has been known to the archive for some time. Archive records identify the vehicle as JAC030, a red 1993 HSV Jackaroo shipped on 29 June 1993. The vehicle was previously recorded as surviving in South Australia in April 2025.
Importantly, the car also comes with authentication from HSV.
The original 3.2-litre V6 and five-speed manual transmission was freshened approximately 5,000 km ago, with a number of new parts fitted at the same time. Since that work was completed, the Jackaroo has reportedly remained reliable, but it is now being offered for sale because it is no longer being used.
A useful addition that was not included in the original advertisement is the collection of spare drivetrain components being sold with the vehicle. These include a spare five-speed gearbox and transfer case, along with a spare clutch and flywheel.
The main HSV-specific item currently missing from the car is the build-number button from the steering-wheel horn pad. This is one of the small numbered pieces originally fitted to the 1993 HSV Jackaroo interior. Replica replacements are available from Stick This, so the missing item can be replaced if the next owner wishes to return the interior closer to its original appearance.
