Jackaroos on Show — 2025

2025 marked the first time a 1993 HSV Jackaroo and a 1994–1995 HSV Jackaroo SE were displayed and judged together at official events. For two vehicles rarely seen side by side, it became a milestone year for the Jackaroo nameplate.

Both cars were entered into the Best HSV 4-Cylinder / 6-Cylinder class at events run by the NSW HSV Owners' Club, competing against a mixed field of HSV Jackaroos, HSV VXRs, and selected Commodore variants.

Round 1 — Penrith Raceway (Early 2025)

At Round 1 of the 2025 HSVOC Muscle Car Show Championship, two Jackaroos competed directly in the same class:

  • Entrant 55 — HSV #57, 1993 HSV Jackaroo

  • Entrant 57 — HSV SE #082, 1994–1995 Jackaroo SE

This was the first time a 1993 HSV Jackaroo and a later SE were judged side by side at a NSW HSV Owners’ Club event. On the day, SE #082 secured the class win.

Round 2 — Macarthur Square (Late September 2025)

Round 2, age is just a number and for two cars that spent their lives being used they remained competitive against a newer vehicle.

  • Entry 67 — HSV VXR: 182 points

  • Entry 69 — HSV Jackaroo: 175 points

A margin of just seven points separated the VXR and the Jackaroo.  A notable result given there is almost a decade of age difference between the vehicles. The Jackaroo's havn't been babied their whole lives either. Both were well used examples.

Additional Displays in 2025

Beyond club championship rounds, the Jackaroos also made several public appearances:

  • HSV Jackaroo #57 was displayed at the Shannons Sydney Classic

  • Both Jackaroo's were on display at All Holden Day 2025 although it was a total wash out.

  • Both Jackaroo's were shown together at the Bargo Pub Car Show

Championship Outcome — A First for the Club

HSV Jackaroo SE #082 finished at the top of the class with 300 points, securing the Best HSV 4-Cylinder / 6-Cylinder Championship.

For the first time in the club’s 40-year history, a Jackaroo has been added to the list of NSW HSV Owners’ Club championship winners. We look forward to displaying both vehicles again in 2026.
